Set in South Florida, M.I.A., which premieres tonight on Peacock, follows Etta Tiger Jonze (Shannon Gisela), who is getting restless working as a tour guide and years to join the family business, but not is all what it seems. When her family’s drug-running business ends in tragedy, Etta goes on a journey though the neon-lit underbelly of Miami’s criminal underworld to get revenge and learn who is and what she is really capable of.

Recently, Danay Garcia, who plays Leah, Etta’s mother, spoke with SciFi Vision about playing the character, including moving to Miami fro the role, playing the darker emotional scenes, and more.
