Yesterday, MGM+ released the premiere of the eagerly-anticipated fourth season of FROM. In the episode, a teenage girl, Sophia (Julia Doyle), and her father, the pastor (Rhys Bevan-John), arrive into town. At the end of the episode, however, it is revealed to viewers that Sophia isn’t his daughter at all, in fact, she isn’t even human. She is actually a newly transformed Man in Yellow (Douglas E. Hughes), who hitched a ride with the pastor into the town pretending to be lost, causing him to have a seizure and crash his car into the sheriff’s station.

Doyle, in a recent interview with SciFi Vision, spoke about emulating Hughes in her performance. "I wanted to make sure that I stayed true to the performance that he kind of laid out in a way, or the blueprint,” explained the actress, adding that she did however also go beyond what the actor portrayed, using it only as a backboard.

In the episode, the actress is fantastic with her quick flip between sweet and evil, and she enjoyed doing both. “I will say that I love playing both sides, because it  keeps things interesting,” said Doyle. “Also, I do love playing with my eyes and the subtleties of that, but also I love playing creepy, and I've been waiting to get a juicy [role] like this where I'm able to be a creep, and that's very fun for me.”

The fourth and final season of The Way Home premieres tonight on Hallmark. Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) is about to graduate high school, while Elliot (Evan Williams) and Kat (Chlyler Leigh) are ready for the next steps in their relationship. Meanwhile, Del (Andie MacDowell) realizes she will soon be alone again. The pond has more in store for the Landry family across generations.

During  a recent interview with SciFi Vision, Laflamme-Snow spoke about Alice’s growth over the series. In the past she was more insensitive and critical but has since grown up. “There are a few things that really test her maturity and really test that new grown-up Alice in the present day that she could only really get through because of the things she’s been through in the past,” said the actress.

According to Williams, Elliot’s arc is almost opposite Alice’s this season. “Elliot’s made a whole bunch of decisions about himself as a young person that have remained unchallenged,” he explained, adding that what he learns about his mother upends it all. “It’s kind of threatening to unravel everything that Elliot is standing on.”

The episode opens where the season finale ended, with Julie having watched her father get his throat sliced by the Man in Yellow. He questions that no one told her there’s no way to change a story once it’s been told and turns towards Jim. When he turns back, she’s gone. He tells Jim it’s a shame he won’t get to see what happens next, because it’s his favorite part and asks if he’d like to know why.

A car with Alabama plates pulls up to a fallen tree, and a pastor gets out and looks around and then gets back in the car.

Ellis and Boyd ask Fatima more about what she found out, and she tells them that she knows the monsters sacrificed their children and that they were people once. They made a bargain with something horrible, but she didn’t see what it was. They tell her they need to get out of there, but she doesn’t want to leave Boyd, who had followed the woman in the kimono into the tunnels. Kenny says he will find him, and Ellis helps her up as Kenny heads down the stairs and into the cave.

In the caves Kenny runs into Boyd, who immediately tells him that they have to get out of there, however, it’s too late, as a bloody Smiley has come up behind him. He tells Kenny that it’s nice to see him again. Boyd yells at Kenny to move and they make it back up the steps and shut the trap door. Kenny is confused, because he knows they burned his body. Boyd tells him how he watched Fatima’s baby grow and stand up and smile.

FROM follows a group of residents trapped in a town they can never leave, trying to unravel the mystery of the town as they fight to survive nightmarish creatures that come out at night and other threats from the surrounding forest.

Sunday, the highly-anticipated fourth season comes to MGM+. In the new season, the group learns that knowledge comes at a cost, and as some new people arrive in town, things quickly go from bad to worse.

At the end of last season, Harold Perrineau, who stars as Sheriff Boyd Stevens, tortured Elgin (Nathan D. Simmons) in order to find out where he was holding his pregnant daughter-in-law, Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori) captive. Will those actions still affect him this season as he continues to try to hold the town together? According to Perrineau, who recently spoke with SciFi Vision, he did what he had to. “There’s no way that he wanted to do that,” the actor told the site. “…but it is the burden of the self-appointed leader to try to figure it out. So, that’s going to sit with him when they get out or if they don’t, like it’s going to last forever. But I think he believes he’s doing everything that he has to do in order to achieve his mission, which is to get everyone home again.”

People could react differently if the truth comes out. “It feels like a little microcosm of what's going on in our society right now," said Perrineau. “You can find out some of the worst things about anybody, and there’re going to be so many different sides that people are going to take. And I think that's exactly what could and will happen with Boyd, which is the reason that we keep watching it.”

This season on Daredevil: Born Again, the battle of wills between Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) has only escalated. Caught in the middle of that power struggle is Vanessa (Aylet Zurer), whose place in Fisk’s world has become more precarious as the stakes continue to rise.

In last week’s episode Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) made his move on Fisk during the charity boxing match, but it was his wife who paid the ultimate price when she was struck in the head by a shard of glass. Although at first surviving, in the most recent episode, she later dies at the hospital.

According to Zurer, who recently spoke to SciFi Vision about her final episodes, she and Fisk had been moving towards this kind of outcome for awhile. “I think the whole season, what's going on is that maybe Vanessa is beginning to think that there is no end to the game,” she explained. “Nothing will be enough, and I think what hurts most is that maybe she's not enough and she will not be able to take him off the game and go to some island.”

Her character however, moved towards the inevitable rather than away from it. “Once the feeling of dread coming in with the sort of intense knowing that she's being hunted and knowing who is hunting her, she, I believe, is taking one step towards making it happen rather than waiting for the trap.”

At this year’s WonderCon, Giorgia Whigham was just as excited to be a fan as she was a featured guest. Discussing her hopes to sneak onto the convention floor - potentially under a mask to avoid a total fan frenzy - the actress who plays the sharp-witted Blaire Bennett sat down to discuss why Season 2 of Ted is the perfect escape for audiences right now.

For many actors, filming on a historic studio lot is a career milestone. For Whigham, it was a homecoming. Having grown up in Los Angeles with an unlimited pass to Universal Studios Hollywood, she spent her weekends riding every attraction, always saving the legendary Tram Tour for last.

"It’s been very full circle," Whigham shared, describing the experience of finally working on the lot as a dream come true. To her, the studio isn't just a set; it’s a place where you can "feel the ghosts of Hollywood." That sense of nostalgia and "Old Hollywood" magic colored her entire experience, making every day on set feel like part of a larger cinematic legacy.

While Ted is famous for its cartoon-like insanity, Whigham is excited for fans to see the grounded evolution of the Bennett family, specifically the relationship between Blaire and Matty (Scott Grimes). This season, Giorgia describes the scenes between the two are "a lot deeper," moving beyond simple shouting matches. Whigham praised Grimes as a "brilliant actor," noting that a great deal of thought went into their characters’ growth. "Maturity comes from the character listening to the other person’s side," Whigham noted. "Not agreeing, but understanding other people do exist outside of their own personal thing."

For Max Burkholder, who plays the young John Bennett on Peacock’s hit series Ted, the experience of watching the show’s second season is a bit like looking at a distant memory. With the series having dropped in early March, Burkholder sat down to discuss the strange passage of time in television, the "home" feel of a Los Angeles soundstage, and why nothing in the Seth MacFarlane universe is ever truly off-limits.

While fans are currently binging the new episodes, for Burkholder, the work has been finished for a long time. The cast wrapped production on Season 2 back in late January or early February of 2025 - over a year before it finally hit screens.

"Watching the show and seeing everyone’s reaction to it makes it feel like it is happening to someone else," Burkholder admitted, describing the experience as a form of derealization. It’s a feeling he’s familiar with; he explains that once a project is complete, he often feels it is "none of his business anymore" and no longer identifies with it. Still, he admits it feels "really cool" to see the audience embrace the new season so warmly.

Now a resident of New York, Burkholder enjoyed the rare opportunity to return to his roots for the shoot. "Not enough stuff films in LA anymore," he noted, sharing that he stayed at his parents' house during production.

Season three of FROM ended on a shocking cliffhanger, when Jim (Eion Bailey), left stunned after Tabitha (Catalina Sandino Moreno)’s news of reincarnation, suddenly out of nowhere sees a future version of his daughter, Julie (Hannah Cheramy), appear in a panic, followed by the mysterious Man in Yellow (Doug E. Hughes), who proceeds to rip his throat out in front of her. Season four does a fantastic job of picking up that momentum and carrying it throughout the first six episodes.

Julie’s storywalking continues to play a part the season as she tries to undo the threads that lead to her father’s apparent death and get a better understanding of how her ability works. The events in Julie’s life has made her have to grow up really fast, but I enjoy her perseverance in the face of what could be an unobtainable solution. I also really like how Randall (AJ Simmons) continues to be someone to look out for Julie and has stepped up, slowly starting to redeem himself.

There is of course fallout over the truth about what happened to Jim as Jade and Tabitha wrestle with how far they are willing to go for answers.

Following the early March premiere of Ted Season 2 on Peacock, SciFi Vision sat down with Alanna Ubach, who plays the soft-spoken yet resilient matriarch Susan Bennett.

Filming for Ted wasn't just another day at the office; it was a rare immersion into Hollywood history. Ubach highlighted how unusual it is in the modern industry to film on a major studio lot. "It is very rare to be filming at a studio," Ubach noted, recalling the unique sensory experience of the Universal backlot.

With her trailer parked right next to the legendary Jaws attraction, her workday was punctuated by the sounds of the theme park. Every eight minutes, like clockwork, she would hear the familiar symphony of screaming, laughter, and pure fun from fans on the ride - a constant reminder of the "magic" surrounding the production.

In Season 2, Susan Bennett is working harder than ever to keep the family unit intact. Ubach describes Susan’s journey this year as a game of "whack-a-mole." As her family members cycle through their various crises and antics, Susan is "all over the place," jumping from one problem to the next to keep the household from imploding.

Despite the chaos, Ubach found herself constantly surprised by the scripts. While she initially thought the writers had drawn a line they couldn't possibly cross, she admitted, "Boy, do they surprise you." Working under the creative direction of Seth MacFarlane, she noted that while the subject matter pushes boundaries, she never felt uncomfortable. "When you are working for Seth MacFarlane, you know what you’re signing up for," she shared.
